What is this treatment?

Restore your tooth — invisibly

Composite fillings are a modern, tooth-coloured solution to repair teeth affected by decay, cracking, or wear. Unlike traditional silver (amalgam) fillings, composite resin blends seamlessly with your natural tooth colour — so nobody knows it’s there.

At FG Cosmo Dental, we only use tooth-coloured composite material. No silver, no dark spots — just a healthy-looking, restored smile.

Signs & symptoms

Do you need a filling?

Visible cavity

A dark spot or visible hole on any tooth is a clear sign of decay that needs filling.

Cold sensitivity

Sharp pain or discomfort when eating cold food or drinking cold water on a specific tooth.

Toothache or pain

Persistent ache or pain in a tooth — especially when biting down — indicates possible decay.

Old/broken filling

An existing filling that is cracked, worn, or falling out needs replacement to protect the tooth.

Why choose us?

Why we only use tooth-coloured fillings

Dr. Gul Owais

Lead Dentist & Co-Founder · BDS

"We believe fillings should be invisible and comfortable. That's why we use only tooth-coloured composite — and take the time to match it perfectly to every patient's smile."

Completely invisible

Resin is matched to your exact tooth shade. Nobody can tell you have a filling — not even in close-up photos.

Mercury-free & safe

Unlike old amalgam fillings, composite resin contains no mercury or metal — safer for you and your family.

Minimal tooth removal

Composite bonds directly to the tooth, so less natural tooth structure needs to be drilled away.

Single visit, done

The entire procedure — from consultation to polished result — is completed in one appointment.

Long-lasting results

With proper care, composite fillings last 5–10 years. We guide you on how to maintain them.

Repairs chips too

Composite isn't just for cavities — it can also correct chipped, worn, or fractured teeth cosmetically.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Does getting a composite filling hurt?

No. We apply local anaesthesia before beginning, so you won’t feel any pain during the procedure. Some mild sensitivity in the tooth for a day or two after is normal and fades quickly.

With proper oral hygiene, composite fillings typically last between 5 and 10 years. Avoiding hard foods, grinding, and maintaining regular dental check-ups extends their life significantly.

Yes, absolutely. We can remove your old amalgam filling and replace it with a composite one in the same visit. Many of our patients do this for cosmetic reasons even if the old filling is still intact.

It depends on the number of teeth and the extent of decay, but we typically treat 2–3 teeth per session comfortably. Your dentist will advise the best plan at your consultation.

Avoid chewing on the filled tooth for 1–2 hours while the area is still numb. After that, eat normally. For the first 24 hours, avoid very hot, cold, or hard foods to allow the filling to fully set.
